Fr Pushparaj called to his eternal home

Fr Pushparaj called to his eternal home With profound sadness we pay tributes to our beloved Fr. Pushparaj, who was called to his eternal home at 8.45 AM on May 28, at Bethany, Bellary. He was born on 28.08.1953 at K.K. Pudur, TN and ordained on 20.01.1981 by Bishop Ambrose P. Yeddanapalli. He served at Hutti, Kowtal, Siruguppa, Burma Camp, Shahabad, Shatinagar, Gangavati and TB Dam. He was Dean of the Hospet deanery. Due to heart and lungs illness, he was hospitalized for nearly four months in St. John's Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital. He passed away at 8.45 AM on May 28 in Bethany. The funeral Mass was presided over by Bishop in the St. Anthony's Cathedral.

Thereafter, his mortal remains were interred in CB Cemetery. A large gathering of priests, the religious and lay faithful along with his beloved mother and relatives bid him a tearful farewell.

Although Fr. Pushparaj had multiple health issues, he was calm and serene, cheerful and grateful. He loved the poor and the down-trodden. Whoever approached him for their need and difficulties, he never sent them back with empty hands. He had a great devotion to Mother Mary. May the Lord grant him eternal rest! All the Priests of the diocese of Bellary are requested to offer a Mass for him.
