52 Children Enthusiastically Participated in the Yuva Pratibha Shibira
BELLARY,APR 11-20, 2024:

Over 52 Catholic children aged 10-15 years, from all over the diocese participated enthusiastically in the Musical Summer camp in Keyboard and Guitar held at Deeksha Bhavan, Bishop’s House Campus, Cantonment, Bellary. Rev. Frs. Alphonse George, P. V. Antony along with Mr. Alwyn D’Cunha from Mangalore and Mr. Immanuel from St. Antony’s Cathedral Church, C.B., Ballari organized the ten days camp held from 11 th April till 20 th ,2024.

The children participated with keen interest and learned basic musical notation and some songs.

While addressing the children, “Music elevates minds and brings joy and closeness to God,” said the bishop.

Arrangements were made for the children from out-station to stay at the St. Martin’s Home and St. Joseph’s Premashrama, C.B., Ballari. All the children attended the classes from 9.00 a.m. till 5.30 p.m. The children were provided with meals.

The Camp was organized to facilitate all the children with the knowledge of sacred music so that they can worthily participate in the sacred liturgy and help people to pray more devotedly.

At the concluding session, certificates were awarded to all the participated candidates. Bishop Henry D’Souza, Bishop of Bellary congratulated the team and the children who participated in the camp.
