Newly built St. Antony’s chapel was blessed at Dumpti
RAICHUR, SINDHANUR, 13 MAY 2024:

Newly built St. Antony’s chapel was blessed and inaugurated by Bishop Henry D’Souza, Bishop of Bellary, on May 13 at Dumpti.

A large gathering of villagers and parishioners attended the function happily.

The Bishop said at the occasion that the church is a house of God which welcomes all to experience the love of God. The local Catholic community who have experienced this redeeming love of God are invited to share it with others joyfully.

“Every member of the parish is important and should help the community to grow in love and fellowship with people of neighbourhood religions”, Bishop stated.

Appreciating the empowerment of people taking place through evangelization and education, Bishop D’Souza encouraged the faithful to grow in faith and dream to be achievers and leaders in life, influencing the society, positively.

The chapel at Dumpti was constructed in the year 1980 and was in a bad condition. It necessitated to renovate them fully. It was possible due to the financial assistance given by Christian Development Council, Government of Karnataka and the local donors.

The hard work of Frs Amala Chandra, Vincent Suresh along with the parishioners and well-wishers was lauded by Bishop Henry D’Souza.
