BELLARY, MAY 02: Newly built grotto of Blessed Virgin Mary was blessed and inaugurated at Tornagallu on May Day.
Built under the leadership of Tornagallu parish priest Fr. Francis Bashyam and donated by the family of late Pandurao, the beautiful grotto was blessed by Bishop of Bellary Henry D’Souza.
The entire parish of Tornagallu enthusiastically participated in the event which was followed by the Holy Eucharistic celebration.
Thereafter, the donor was honoured and everyone gathered was treated with sumptuous meal.
Jindal Steel plant is situated in Tornagallu, which is about thirty kms. from Bellary.
Quite a few migrant Catholics from all over India are working the plant.
Tornagallu parish caters to these Catholics, most of whom are migrants.
