BELLARY, MAR 25: “Assisi Deepthi Nilaya”, a newly built convent cum Boarding Home for girls blessed and inaugurated at Deodurga in Raichur district on Mar. 25.
Provincial of the Assisi Sisters of Mary Immaculate [ASMI] Sr. Camilla Francis inaugurated the new building and Provincial of the Southern Province of the Salesians of Don Bosco [SDB], Fr. Thomas Anchukandam unveiled the plaques.
Bishop of Bellary Henry D’Souza blessed the new building and offered a thanksgiving Holy Mass on the occasion.
The Salesians of Don Bosco are providing pastoral care in the entire Deodurga taluka and are running a school at Deodurga. Fr. Jolly is the local superior and Fr. KC Mathew, principal of the school. Sr. Deepa is the superior of the local Assisi Convent.



The Shrine of Bellary Arogya Mathe was blessed and dedicated on 8th September 2000 on the feast of the Nativity of our Blessed Mother Mary in memory of the great jubilee 2000 and the Golden Jubilee of the Diocese of Bellary
