BELLARY, JAN 16: The newly built Jantapur chapel was inaugurated and blessed by Bishop Henry D’Souza on Jan. 15, amidst rejoicing by the local Catholics.
The Jantapur chapel dedicated to Infant Jesus was inaugurated and blessed during a solenm Holy Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Bishop D’Souza.
The modest structure built under the leadership of the then parish priest of Mudgal, Fr. Chowrappa and completed by Fr M. D. Vincent.
PAlmost the entire joined the celebrations and rejoiced over the newly erected house of God.
In his homily, Bushop D’Souza spoke on the significance of the chapel as the “Houseof God” which would be the meeting place of God and His people and the people themselves. He also urged to treat all human beings with respect and dignity as the “living temples of God”.
The celebration ended with a procession and a fellowship meal for all present.



The Shrine of Bellary Arogya Mathe was blessed and dedicated on 8th September 2000 on the feast of the Nativity of our Blessed Mother Mary in memory of the great jubilee 2000 and the Golden Jubilee of the Diocese of Bellary
