BELLARY, SEP. 19: The Bellary Diocesan Development Society, BDDS will hold a day long workshop on “Capacity building and Responsibility” for rural development workers today in Bellary.
The inaugural session will be presided over by Bishop Henry D’Souza of Bellary.
The invitees are: Panchyat Development Committees of Sridharagadde, Korlagundi, Kappakallu and Kolooru villages of Bellary district. Officers of the Onake Obavva Mahila Mahasangha, Akkamahadevi Mahila Mahasangha, Bhavani Mahila Mahasangha and Kittoor Rani Chennamma Mahila Mahilamahasangha will also participate in the workshop informed the BDDS Director, Fr Paulraj.
Bellary Taluk Panchayat CEO D. Venkatramana, Deputy Director Food and Civil Supplies BT Manjunath and other officials are expected to attend the workshop.
There are nearly a thousand women's Self Help Groups working under the aegis of BDDS.
