BELLARY, SEP. 03: The Catholic faithful of Papanayakana Halli celebrated the feast of their Patron, St. Paul the Hermit with fervor and festivity on Sep. 02.
Over 250 Catholics belonging to the Papanayakana Halli sub-station of Humpi parish solemnized their annual feast with a solemn concelebrated Eucharist, a colorful procession and a community meal.
Bishop Henry D’Souza presided over the concelebrated Eucharist. He urged the faithful to emulate the “rock-like faith of the saint and urged the faithful to strengthen the Catholic families, to fight against the evil of alcoholism and to fight against HIV/AIDS, so prevalent in the area.”
Youthful Fr. Maria Augustine, the local parish priest provided leadership for the meaningful celebrations and Mr. Ignaci and team lead the choir.
